Scout Partners Terms

The rules for promoting Scout4Me as a Scout Partner. Scout Partners is the program for referring Scout itself — it is not the "Affiliate Offers" feature inside the product.

Becoming a partner

Anyone with a free Scout account may apply. A paid Scout subscription is not required.
Applications are reviewed by a human and start as pending. Nothing payable accrues until your application is approved.
Approved partners receive a unique referral code and link. Keep it to yourself — codes are per partner, not per campaign.

How you may promote Scout

Describe Scout truthfully. Do not invent features, results or customers.
No income guarantees, no promises of buyers, no "guaranteed leads" claims. Scout finds and prioritises conversations; it does not guarantee sales.
No spam. No unsolicited bulk email or DMs, no comment spam, no paid search bidding on Scout brand terms, no misleading pop-unders or forced clicks.
No impersonation. Do not present yourself as Scout staff, do not use our name or mark as your own brand, and do not register confusingly similar domains, handles or app listings.
Disclose the relationship wherever it is required by law or platform rules, and wherever a reasonable person would want to know.

Attribution

First touch wins. The first valid partner referral recorded in a visitor's browser is the one that counts, for 60 days from that first click.
A later referral click does not overwrite an existing valid referral. Once the visitor creates a Scout account, the attribution is locked to that account permanently.
Accounts that already existed before the referral click are not credited retroactively.
Self-referrals are not eligible. You cannot earn commission on your own account.

Commission

30% of eligible subscription revenue for each referred customer's first 12 successfully paid subscription months.
Eligible revenue means the subscription amount actually settled, excluding tax and excluding refunded amounts. Discounted purchases commission the amount actually paid.
Commission is recorded once per paid invoice and is held for 30 days, after which it becomes payable.
Refunds, chargebacks and disputes void the related commission, or create an offsetting reversal if it has already been paid to you.
Each commission record stores the percent, revenue base and amount as they were at the time. If we change future program terms, commission already earned is never rewritten.

Payouts

Minimum payout is $50.00. Balances below that roll over.
Payouts are reviewed monthly and paid manually.
We store only a payout method label and a payout email. Never send us bank account numbers or other banking credentials.
You are responsible for your own taxes on commission you receive. Commission is paid to you as an independent party, not as an employee or agent of Scout.

Suspension and changes

We may suspend or remove a partner for fraud, self-referral, spam, misrepresentation or abuse, and withhold commission connected to that behaviour.
We may change future program terms — commission percent, duration, window, hold or minimum — with notice on this page. Changes apply to commission earned afterwards.
Either side may end the partnership at any time. Commission already earned and not connected to abuse remains payable.
