Privacy Policy
How Scout4Me handles your account data and the public content it analyses.
Last updated 3 September 2026.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and authentication records.
- Your configuration: the offers you describe, the public sources you approve, and your settings.
- Public conversation data: publicly visible posts from the sources you approve — typically the title, public text, author display name, link and publication date where the source provides one.
- Workflow records: what you selected, what you posted, replies you recorded, and audit events, so the product can show an honest history.
- Billing data: subscription status and period held by us; card details are handled entirely by our payment provider and never reach Scout4Me.
Public content only
Scout4Me only analyses content that is already publicly visible on the sources you approve. It does not read private messages, private groups, closed communities or anything behind a login you have not approved. It does not build hidden profiles of individuals beyond the public post it captured.
Why we process it
To provide the service you subscribed to: finding relevant public conversations, judging whether one helpful question is worth asking, preparing a draft for you, and keeping an accurate record of your workflow. We also process data to operate billing, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
AI processing
Public post text and your offer description are sent to third-party AI providers so the lead assessment and draft wording can be generated. Your credentials and billing data are never sent to those providers. Private notes such as affiliate arrangements are excluded from any wording intended for posting.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We use service providers to host the application and database, process payments, search public web content and run AI analysis. Each receives only what is needed to perform that function. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
Data separation
Every account's profiles, sources, leads and workflow records are scoped to that account and enforced at the database level. One account cannot read another's data.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete profiles, sources and leads from within the app at any time. To have your account and its data deleted, contact support; we will action it within a reasonable period, apart from records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact support to exercise them.
Removal requests about a public post
If you are the author of a public post that appears in Scout4Me and you want the stored copy removed, contact support with the link and we will remove it.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage only to keep you signed in, to remember interface preferences such as the active product profile, and to remember a Scout Partners referral (below). We do not use advertising trackers.
Scout Partners referrals
If you arrive through a Scout Partners referral link, we store the referral code, the time of that first visit, the page you landed on and a random visitor token in your browser for the length of the referral window. That lets us credit the partner who introduced you.
- The token is random. It is not your name, email, IP address or a device fingerprint.
- The first referral wins and is not replaced by later referral links.
- If you create an account, we record which partner referred you so commission can be calculated. Partners see their own totals and results — never your account details, your leads or your usage of Scout4Me.
- You can clear this at any time by clearing site data for Scout4Me in your browser.
